Blogger Recognition Award!

Hello Adventurer’s!

I know I know it’s been literally forever since I last blogged. It’s been hard to find time to sleep lately.

But I’m here now with some very exciting news!

Dun…

Dun…

DUN…

I was nominated by Cynthia over at: http://www.asweetnsimplelife.wordpress.com for this award! Thank you so much for thinking of me Cynthia!

How My Blog Came To Be:

Well, some of you may know, I’m homeschooled. How my blog came to be isn’t a hard story to tell.

I was doing a co-op class about blogging. That is where I created this wonderful blog.

For the last 3 years I’ve tried to keep up with it, failing most of the time. I’ve done a lot better this year then any other year.

I made this blog when I was 13 and I’m still working on it now 3 years later.

~

Advice For New Bloggers:

  1. Make a scheduled time to blog.

This is one thing that I tried to do, but never kept up with. If you are new to the blogging world, I’d try and make a set day or time to set aside to blog. It makes things a lot less stressful in the blogging world.

2. Blog with your heart.

If you don’t blog with your heart then what’s the point? You gotta be all in or not in. Blogging takes time and commitment. Notice the “and” it’s not a “ or”.  If you try hard you can do anything! Don’t be afraid to try new things with your blog.

-National Coffee Day-

Hello Adventurer’s!

Guess what day it is today?!

NATIONAL COFFEE DAY!!

In case you didn’t know, I’m a major coffee drinker. So long as it isn’t black, I’ll drink it.

Coffee is my go to drink, after water of course.

Especially if I need an extra boost of caffeine to get me through the day.

Do you drink coffee? If so, what kind?

Do you drink Starbucks? Which is your go to order?

For me my go to order ( on the rare occasion I get Starbucks coffee) is the Mocha Frappachino. If you have not tried this you just try it! It’s amazing.

I love coffee y’all. ❤️

Just the smell satisfies me.

Alright, enough of me obsessing over coffee. Y’all have a great day drinking your coffee.

Come back later for my “Bible Study lesson #10”!

“Face life head on, and one day at a time.”

Bible Study- lesson #9

Hello Adventurer’s!

Lesson 9 is here! Enjoy!

Today we will be reading 1 Peter 2:1-10

1 Peter 2:1-10

“So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.

As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture:

“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone,

a cornerstone chosen and precious,

and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.

So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe,

“The stone that the builders rejected

has become the cornerstone,”

and

“A stone of stumbling,

and a rock of offense.”

They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

What really stuck out to me in these verses was verse 7:

The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone.”

Christ is the cornerstone of our lives. Without Him we would fall apart at the seams.

Also verse 10b:

You had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

Christ gave us mercy. Once we didn’t have it, once we were saved we received His mercy, His love, His wonderful blessings.

Have a great evening and a great weekend my lovely readers!

Bible Study-lesson #8

Hello Adventurer’s!

Lesson 8 is finally here! Sorry it took so long. Last post I said my life was going 90 mph, well now it’s around 110. But I need to make sure I ALWAYS make time for Christ and this is one of the ways I can do it.

Today we will read Ephesians 2:8-17

Ephesians 2:8-17

First, let’s start with this.

Ephesians 2:8-9

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Stop and think about these verses.

We have been saved through grace and faith. Not by anything we have done or will do! Christ saved us! It is a gift God freely gave to us.

He died on the cross for every one of our sins! All the sins we have committed, we are committing, and will ever commit.

We are the manship of Christ, created in Christ for good works. We were created to do the will of Christ, to make disciples of Christ. We don’t make the diciples, Christ gives us the words and the wisdom to make them for Christ and His will.

Once we were lost to our sin, but Christ has found us and brought us to Him. He saved us.

( “Lost get Found”, Britt Nicole”)

He is our peace.

Then look at Ephesians 2:17

And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and leave to those who were near”

He is the peace. To everyone who comes to Him. For those near and far, everywhere and anywhere.

Never be afraid to go to Christ. He is ALWAYS there for you. Near or far.

~

Come back tomorrow (Lord willing) and read bible study lesson 9! Hope you enjoyed this lesson and will come back for the next. Which will come from 1 Peter. Stay tuned.

Have a great evening my friends! God bless you!

“Face life head on, and one day at a time.”

Apologies

Hello Adventurer’s!

As you can tell from the title this isn’t my usual bible study post…

I’m so sorry that I didn’t do the lesson yesterday and that I won’t be able to tonight.

My life went from 0-90 the past couple days and I’m not getting the best sleep, so I need to be going to bed earlier then usual.

This won’t be a regular thing I promise.

I’ll write the Bible Study tomorrow at some point. I just needed to make sure I told y’all why I didn’t do it last night.

My life is really busy and getting 6-7 hours of sleep isn’t cutting it. I’m exhausting myself. I will get my life under control and I’ll be better at this. Hang in there my friends! I’ll get better at this.

Tomorrow though! Hold me to it.

I’ll see y’all tomorrow with our bible lesson #8.

“Face life head on, and one day at a time.”

Bible Study- lesson #7

Hello Adventurer’s

Day 7! Wohoo!

Today we will be reading:

Ephesians 2:1-7

We were dead in our transgressions and sins.

Despite our horrid sins, Christ saved us.

Christ, rich with mercy, and love saved us because of His great grace.

We were dead in our sins and Jesus raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the Heavenly places.

He showed us great kindness that we can NEVER repay.

Thank Him everyday for everything that He has done for you.

~

Y’all a great evening! Have a great time at church tomorrow! Learn something new and share it with me.

“Face life head on, and one day at a time.”

Bible Study-lesson #6

Hello Adventurer’s!

Whose up for day 6? You are!

Let’s get goin then.

Philippians 1:1-11

Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ. They are inprisioned, yet they continue to pray and be thankful.

Though they are in prison, they can still preach the gospel to the other prisoners. They take advantage of a bad situation.

Paul prays for us. He prays that our love may be abounding still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment.

Even though they are in prison, they don’t complain or feel sorry for themselves. They don’t blame Christ for their imprionsment. They continue to praise Him and give Him all the glory.

We should aspire to be more like Paul and Timothy in situations like this.

How would you respond to inprisonment? Would you react like Paul and Timothy?

Would you be thankful and praise God?

~

Y’all have a great evening. Come back tomorrow for lesson 7.

“Face life head on, and one day at a time”.

Bible Study-lesson #5

Hello Adventurer’s!

It’s Thursday. My Thursday wasn’t the best Thursday… and I’ll tell y’all why at the end of this post. Which means you have to read through the lesson first 😂

Day 5! Today we are reading Ephesians 1:1-10

Ephesians 1:1-10

Paul, a apostle of Christ, us writing a letter to the saints of Ephesus.

God our Father has blessed us with every apdirtual blessing in the heavenly places. He has blessed us more then we could ever deserve. We didn’t earn those blessings, He gave them to us as a gift.

He predestined us to adoption as sons (and daughters) of Jesus Christ. ~if you’re life me then you don’t quite understand what “predestined us to adoption means”, I had to look up what predestined meant to help me better understand this verse. –(of God) destine (someone) for a particular fate or purpose- He destined us to be adopted. Better understand? Good.~

He freely bestowed grace upon us. We who are filthy, dirty sinners. We didn’t deserve any of the grace He gave us. But He FREELY gave us grace. Freely meaning, it cost us nothing! NOTHING!

He made known to us the mystery of His will. Now why would He do that? Because we are His children and He loves us.

Jesus loves you! ❤

Did we deserve any of the gifts Christ gave us?

NO!

Will we ever deserve it?

NO!

But He still loves and cares for each of His children.

Have a great night my friends!

~

There’s the Bible lesson, now who wants to know why Thursday just wasn’t my day?

Well y’all do otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this.

So I just started volunteering at a place (tonight actually) I do the childcare for this Christian organization (I won’t say where for security reasons). It went great! Up until the parking lot… I think you know where this is going…. it’s pitch black, there’s no street lights anywhere, I’m basically blind. I start backing up slowly and I bump something…I didn’t even have to look behind me to know I’d hit a car… it’s pitch black in a kinda sketchy area, so I freaked! I totally panicked and drove out of the parking lot.

I got out of the parking lot and told myself it wasn’t right to leave like that… so I turned around and went back, just in time too.

I got there, parked, and stopped the man and his wife who were about to leave in the truck I’d bumped into.

He got out of the car (he was a sketchy looking man, I almost didn’t want to tell him what happened….), I told him what happened. I told him I was so sorry! I felt so bad! He told me repeatedly that it was no big deal, it was his work truck, he’d already bumped it a number of times. His wife is sitting in the front seat and says that it’s ok. The man told me thank you for being honest and said everything was ok and it was no big deal. With that he left and I left.

It was chipped paint, nothing else. I’m sure he never would’ve noticed had I not told him.

I’ve been kicking myself all night for the fact I even thought to run away and leave like that… I knew that wasn’t right, and I almost didn’t go back.

I’m so grateful that the man was understanding and kind to me! My last ” accident” didn’t go so well.

That man showed me kindness. I’m going to learn from his example and be the same way. Life on earth isn’t forever, nothing here is going to matter when Christ comes back.

Anyway, that is my Thursday. Always watch for cars when driving! If it’s night time, before you get in your car look around for cars. I got a nice man, this time. I may not be so fortunate next time.

~

Y’all have a great night!
